iLIFE T10s review: the all

When it comes to robot vacuum cleaners, iLife is a brand we cannot ignore; Proposals such as the iLife A10 are an example of this, but this time we will focus on one of its most recent bets: the iLIFE T10s we have for review. This robot vacuum cleaner was recently unveiled on the premise of being the company's most sophisticated LiDAR laser navigation robot that combines an excellent mopping and self-emptying capability at an affordable price.

Obviously, the LiDAR support makes this beauty above par with the rest of the competitors out there. This means that it can easily map your whole house, navigate when in dark or crowded places but also schedule some functions even when you’re not home.

The main package of the device is sturdy and… huge. Inside we can find all the above, neatly packed. Upon opening the box, you will find the T10S robot vacuum itself, a self-empty station, two side brushes, a user manual, two mop cloths, a 2-in-1 water tank, a mop stand, a cleaning tool, a filter, two dust bags. Obviously, you can easily buy more spare parts later on for this.

The iLIFE T10s, comes in a modern-looking black and blue color, with the self-emptying station being all black. The user manual is well-written and easy to understand, providing clear instructions on how to set up and use the T10S.

It's easy to install all the extra parts of the vacuum: add the side brushes (one red and one green colored), the 2-in-1 water tank (when you need to mop) and the self-emptying station with its power cord. You’re set. I was pleased to see that this year, iLife T10s comes with a complete bundle, packing everything you need to start cleaning your home.

Self-Emptying Dustbin : this feature has recently become the holy grail of all those home cleaners out there. One of its main advantages is that it reduces the frequency of maintenance required for the robot vacuum cleaner. With a typical robotic vacuum cleaner, you would have to empty the dustbin after every use. Not with this. You can keep using the T10s for almost 2 months without emptying the dustbin. A great way to save time.

LiDAR mapping: This is another sought after feature in the past years for those who search for a decent vacuum cleaner. Mapping technology is not just about creating a digital representation of your home. It also lets you set specific cleaning preferences for each level and room. Using the Tyua app you can always know where the T10s is, when it is going to finish, or which room it will go next. You can also make changes on the go to its projected path, make scheduled cleanings and more. One more excellent feature is the ability to detect and avoid obstacles, such as furniture or stairs. This feature saves you time and effort and protects your furniture and the vacuum cleaner from damage.

This is a great help for those times we need to clean our thick carpets. Using this feature, the vacuum cleaner can seamlessly move from one surface to another without compromising its cleaning efficiency. It also ensures that the vacuum cleaner doesn't waste energy on high suction power on hard floors, but uses it exactly where it's needed.

Anti-collision sensors: That's another feature where the brand new T10s shines. There are several sensors placed around (and below) the vacuum cleaner, making sure that nothing can go wrong when cleaning. They help the T10s detect objects in its path, and navigate around all types of obstacles like furniture, walls or even stairs. This way both the vacuum and your furniture are safe. No bumping all over the place anymore. This saves money and effort. Instead of manually moving furniture or other objects out of the way, the vacuum can navigate around them independently.

Y Shape Cleaning pattern: This new feature comes as an intuitive feature that will be loved by most. It allows the ILIFE T10s Robot Vacuum Cleaner to cover a larger area than traditional vacuum cleaners, ensuring that every inch of your home is thoroughly cleaned. When activated, the vacuum moves in a Y shaped path, combined with a left-and-right mopping motion. This means it vacuums and mops your floors, leaving them sparkling clean. Just make sure you fill the mopping water tank with a decent cleaning fluid + water.

If you want to keep it simple you can easily tell the ILIFE T10s Robot Vacuum Cleaner to clean the house just by pressing the On button placed on its top. But why not take advantage of all its smart app features? Using the Tuya app, we can easily check the remaining battery, see which rooms have been cleaned, make daily/weekly schedules for cleaning or mopping our house and much more.

The ILIFE T10s Robot Vacuum Cleaner comes also with full Alexa and Google Assistant support. This means that it can be easily integrated into any smart home and be controlled just by saying: "Alexa, turn on ILIFE robot" etc.

Using the Tuya app for our iLIFE T10s review, we can easily create a floor map of our home and all the rooms in it. This way we can create schedules telling the T10s where to go, what to clean and when. We always know when our T10s is, but we can always call it back to its dock when needed. No more hitting on furniture, doors, or other objects. It is also able to avoid kids toys, shoes etc and not get stuck like most previous robot vacuums used to do.

During my tests in this iLIFE T10s review, I was happy with how the T10s managed to clean my home. It easily sucked dust, dirt, debris, and pet hair on my floor and carpets, including medium-pile carpets of a height up to 18mm. It works in 3 modes: vacuum only, mop only, or vacuum+mop.

When the battery is low, the T10s redocks to recharge, but don't worry. This usually happens after more than 2,000 square feet of coverage or 2 hours of cleaning! After recharging, the T10S resumes cleaning from where it left off.

iLIFE kept their promise with this smart beauty and delivered a high-end vacuum at an affordable price. Using its state-of-the-art LiDAR technology, it can create a complete floor mapping of your home in minutes, allowing you to enjoy a hands-free clean for up to 60 days. The self-emptying capability is a must nowadays, along with the smart home integration (Alexa, Google Assistant).

It may not be the best in terms of carpet cleaning, but all in all, the mopping feature and the 3000 Pa suction power can surely make wonders!
